Savannah never ceases to amaze me with her nuggets of premature wisdom. Today, riding in the car with her cousins, she delivered this little soliloquy: “There are some boys who like you only because of what you have or the clothes you wear. You can just tell. So you should just not hang out with them and find a boy who likes you for good reasons.” I should probably have been a little disturbed that my 7-year-old is already entertaining the concept of attracting boys in the first place, but instead I just felt proud.
